Post Con News...
Well, as many of you have noticed, we chose to sit this GenCon out (as far as sales go). We did, however, offer a few Century's Edge events while elbowing with those in the industry to get some new takes on how we might adapt our business model. As the sole representative from the company, I must say I had a marvelous time, met lots of wonderful people, listened to a lot of knowledgeable speakers and came back from the con with binder full of game ideas (not that I'm not already filled up with trying to finish the current projects I have going).

As before, the CE Field Guide of Dangers is still waiting to be fully developed. We've got lots of critter write-ups. We've got a nice turn-of-the-century naturalist's field guide look. What we don't have is creature art and the final layout of the text. I'm not going to keep dangling dates -just expect it when you least expect it :-)

Movies Till Dawn should see the light of day near Christmas. We are very excited about this product. It's gotten a lot of hype at the cons it's been at and new movie ideas are flooding in like a tidal wave. We've added a new free download on this page, so make sure you check it out (Once we get some art for it, we plan to charge a small fee for it -you were warned!).

The Century's Edge Rule Book is in line to be re-edited. Though I'm not exactly proud of this, the revised edition will feature more stream-lined text, a lighter page count, and few small rule changes (distances and such will now be completely using the abstract ratings instead of hard numbers). It might be awhile before this is ready, but it will be done. Meanwhile, the original print is still available (and is 100% compatible) for a great price (trust me, the new books will not have as much bonus-content as these first runs do!).

Finally, we are working toward putting up this year's GenCon game "Said the Spider to the Fly..." Because of its open-ended nature, there are some drastic amounts of writing that need done to make it a "professional quality piece." In the meantime we will try to at least release the maps that go with it (I'm quite proud of the work I did not these:-)
Old News...
We have just a few of the first-print runs of the Century's Edge rule book left. These books have been discounted down to $12.00 to help us make way from the next printing. Want to save a few trees? (How very "Roosevelt" of you) A fully-clickable PDF of the book is available for $5.00. Check out our catalog HERE for more details.

Catalog Description (RPG1120084 & RPG1119408):Spared from the crash of their dirigible, 6 British East India Company agents find themselves fated to die amid the frigid Himalayas. But there’s hope! An incongruous manor sits eerily upon a distant ledge. A mirage? Even if not, its macabre trappings are unnerving at best. Is it truly vacant, or is the host playing cat and mouse with these unexpected guests? A Victorian tale inspired by the works of Lovecraft, Stoker, and Wells! Thanks to all those who played with us at GenCon Indy 2011 -we really had a blast. Soon we will have the maps to this game up on our downloads page. Eventually the whole thing will be up there, but be patient. In the meantime -Stay Entertained! |
Movies Till Dawn
Our hilarious hybrid-game, "Movies Till Dawn" is ever closer to publication. We are pressing to have this out by Christmas, including a "Director's Edition" that comes in a decorative film-reel can. This game places players in the roles of B-Movie actors and actresses trying to up-stage the competition as they play out the scenes in a low-budget, late-night feature. This game is perfect for parties and can be played with or without a game master. Yes, even your non-gaming friends are going to enjoy this one. -Features the use of playing cards instead of dice... Try the demo version by clicking HERE. We also have an 80s action movie feature (designed at a fan's request!) called Predicator I (Terminator + Predator + Aliens = Predicator I -'nuff said...)
Are You Ready to Be Taken Captive?
Our upper-atmosphere setting/adventure "Captives in the Court of the Sky Lord" is still available from our confidants at the Victorian Adventure Enthusiast site. To take a look at their magnanimous site, just click below! -Oh, don't miss out on the high-res versions of the maps available on our downloads page.
Have Questions?
Some of you have contacted us with questions, ideas, and store orders. We are a company who loves our fans and wants to have a direct line of communication with them. Some of you received stats and rules for items not found in the main rule book; some have had their questions about certain rules clarified. Whatever we can do for our fans we will try and do it. If you have anything you'd like to ask us just write to gm(at)wholesumentertainment(dot)com (replace items in parentheses with symbols/punctuations). If you are a business interested in ordering multiple copies of our products please write orders(at)wholesumentertainment(dot)com and we can arrange a discount for you. And, as always, thank you all for letting us entertain you!
